I have been having a hard time sleeping for the past couple weeks. This happens when I first switch back to what the doctors all my " manic " phase. This is what I call my regular personality. I am busy with lots of projects. I talk a lot. And I don't sleep much. But last night I was falling asleep next to my hubby watching old episodes of " John Doe ", at 8pm. Didn't even take my nighty night pills which I usually need to sleep. The cool part is I slept till 6:30. So, now I think I'm caught up.

At the moment I am setting on my new Victorian Settee watching the snow fall outside my window. It must be rather cold outside, but I don't think the snow will " stick ".

I have been having issue with my serger's tension. I even took it in to be serviced, but it didn't help. No matter how much I fuss with it, it won't sew right. So I will be taking another trip over to Modern Domestic in north Portland. If you haven't been there, they are a great bunch of gals. Always ready to help me with my machines with a smile on there face, unlike the grumpy service tech. over at Montivilla in Beaverton.

So long story still pretty long, I can't sewing at the moment, so I figured I start today's blog. Yesterday hubby and I walked down the street to our local Powell's Book Store and I was so happy to find their last issue of Bell Armoire. I love this magazine. It's right up there with Altered Couture, which is my all time favorite magazine. If you are a fellow upcycled clothing designer like me, you owe it to yourself to go by yourself an issue. There are so many great articles with lots of pictures of beautiful handmade creations. This issue of Belle Armoire has a very long article on Katwise. If you don't know that name then you must not be familiar with her sweater coat designs. She is the one and only original designer of these fabulous sweater coats. Lots of woman are copying the style but she was the first.
