A day in Salem

I know that the pictures inside the Clockwork Cafe are really dark. I couldn't do any better with my camera.

Yesterday I headed to Salem to visit mom and see some belly dancing. We wondered around downtown a bit. We stopped in to the French Unicorn to check out all their lovely french things. We tried bread samples at Great Harvest and got ourselves a cinnamon roll. Yummy!!

We checked out a store named This and That. They have tons of cowboy boot and other western wear, and tons of hats. Got compliments on the ensemble I was wearing, enough to hand out business cards to the store clerk and a customer. The shop keeper hadn't heard of Etsy or Steampunk so we educated her.  I picked up a set of dominoes at an antique store. By this point my feet were killing me so we went inside Clockwork's and played some dominoes and I totally dominated, surprising considering I had never played before.

The belly dancing was beyond awesome. A couple of the dancers told us there there is normally 200 peeps there to watch the show. Apparently last night was a small attendance comparatively. Unfortunately, my camera was no good at getting pictures of them.

As for my outfit yesterday. The jacket, skirt and bustle are all from Love Flow Creations. The necklace, socks, and boots were thrifted, and the earrings my ex made.

The mural is on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy just before where you turn to go to the VA hospital. The other picture is my dashboard buddies.

Till next time
