Love Flow Creations Fancy Lace Dress

Hi again, Missy from Love Flow Creations here.  This dress is a whole lot simpler then it looks.  I took a stretchy lace cami with built in bra, attached

The pink belt is a vintage piece of crocheted lace that I attached to a very pretty vintage belt buckle.

Here the dress is shown on my size 2 mannequin Bianca.  In reality it fits me.   Well at least it did before I went on vacation. LOL

half of a vintage lace tablecloth gathered up to fit the cami.  The dress was too long so I just pinched a bit of lace on each side and hand tacked it down.  This creates and interesting drape effect.

A tale of two cardigans

My beautiful friend Shannon came over to see me today, and was kind enough to model my small refashions for me.  The burgundy cardigan was a ribbed turtle neck that I cut up the center front.  I have added a doilie to the back and front.  Along the hem I have added tea stained vintage linen napkins cut into fourths and burgundy fringe.

The second cardigan was a sweater dress with a stain in the front.  I cut the sweater dress about 2/3 of the way down, where the stain was.  I kept the bottom piece in a tube shape because I made it into a skirt, which you will see in a different post.  The top of the sweater dress I cut open to made a cardigan.

I put a vintage star shaped doilie on the back and hem.  I the front I used scraps to make an interesting abstact design down both sides of the front.  For the closure I used a feather earring given to me by a friend on one side and a vintage metal button on the other side.

Shannon looks so fabulous in the cardagin I about sent it home iwht her, but I think I might wait and surprise her with it as a presant in the future.  Laters babe.  Yes, I am referencing the Fifty Shades of Grey books.  Shannon loaned me all three books.  Great steamy reading. :-)

Valentine's day sewing room mess

This is my sewing room/storage room in my apartment.  Yes, Love Flow Creations takes up half my living space.  Good thing I live alone. LOL  As you can see I have pictures of refashioned clothing all over my walls for inspiration.  They are pages out of Altered Couture Magazine.  I will soon be having two articles published in Altered Couture and I am so excited.  You will have to excuse some sideways pictures. Iphoto hates on me sometimes.  Laters  babe.

A day in Salem part 2

Hubby, mom and I had a fabulous time in Salem yesterday. Stopped in at great harvest Co. for a sample of 3 cheese bread and purchased a cinnimin roll. MMMMyum. We wander around a store called "This and That" I think. They have tons on hats and cowboy boots and vintage clothing. She liked the outfit I was wearing which was mostly my Love Flow Creations. She had never heard of Etsy or Steamunk, so we educated her :-) Jeff picked up a set of dominoes at one of the antique stores, so when my feet started to hurt form walking in my pointy boots, we went over to the Clockwork Cafe, and played a few games. It was my first time playing ever. I totally kicked hubby and mom's tushes. The belly dancing shoe was totally awesome.

Gathering of many hats

Yup, up in the wee early morn again. This is stating to be a habit. I attended the Gathering of Many Hats last night at Ringo's bar. Great food, well priced, very smiley staff, and great customer service.

Music at the park

There are all these woman starting up awesome upcycling blogs lately.  I started one awhile ago.  I tried to post every day, but then when no one is reading it you get discourage and figure why put all that time and effort into it.  But, here I go giving it another shot.  Let's see if I can post everyday for a week.  Then I will go from there.

Today I spent a busy day with the "Housewives Club" eating and shopping and talking and talking and talking.  What we do best.  I went to a live concert in the park here in Beaverton Oregon.  Had a great time and was productive at the same time lacing up afgan skirts.

Here's a peek at the concert and the skirts.....

Me and my crazy smile LOL, some blurry dancers, blurry me, and an awesome shot of me that a professional photographer took, that just so happened to be sitting behind us.

Please not that the "cape" I am wearing is one of the afghans I threaded cording through.  And the dress is the big poncho looking thing made from recycled tee shirts.  The colors go together fabulously.  The necklace I purchased at Muzis on Main in Tigard, Oregon.

The poncho later sold to my biggest fan on Etsy.  Thanks Fern!!!!

Till tomorrow..............

A little bit of everything

One of these nights
One of these lost and lonely nights
You're gonna find out pretty momma
Who turns on your light.....

Yet another night of hardly sleeping.  I might of got 2 hours in maybe.  That makes 9 hour of total sleep for the last 4 days. Ugh!  The joys of being manic. :-)

You gotta love the manic side of my personality.  Love it or hate it, it's none of my business how you feel about me. :-)

So here is some new stuff....

I know, there's a whole lot going on here.  We have t-shirt skirts, country blue floral skirt with vintage lace on the lower half.  Then there's the Little Miss Sunshine dress, that is just to cute for words.  Not to mention the tie-dyed dress with monkeys.  I made all of these in 1 day.  Yep, I sew big bunches.

I have a great big craft fair today and tomorrow.  Mom will be here in a few hours to help me, as she always does.  The show runs from 10-8 both days.  Lots of work, but totally worth it.

Everything on this post except the 1st skirt have been sold.  The craft fair I was speaking of was Cracked Pots and we did exceptionally well!

Till next time......
