What to do with a sunny day in Portland

That is one of our little neighbors reading the bumper-stickers on "Stella's" back side.  Yes, I named my car Stella.

Update:  On a sad note, when my ex split he took Stella with him to Florida.  The day after Thanksgiving he totaled  Stella.  Rest in peace Stella.  I love you car of mine. :-(

On this particular sunny day awhile back I took the opportunity to enjoy the day by going for a walk in my neighborhood up to Roxy's my favorite restaurant in Beaverton.  The best food by far, the friendly staff and the loudest Hawaiian music. LOL
Update:  Roxy's is now a favorite place for my guy Lonnie. :-)

I love the "Under Construction" display someone was cute enough to share with us in their front yard.  Isn't the guy on the tractor great?

As for what I'm wearing, the green sweater is one of my Love Flow Creations embellished with lace and tattered edges.  The dress is also a Love Flow Creation made from a black cami with white stars, lace added to the front bodice and as a skirt.  It reminds me of a French maids outfit.  In a good way.  I have worn it over a black v-front and v-back dress.

What an awesome day!!!

I am looking at these pictures with absolutely no idea where hubby and I were dancing and when.  However, please note the orb floating between us in the first picture.  Then in the second picture the orb is floating over both of us.  Well folks this is hubby and I dancing somewhere at sometime.

NW Steampunk Woman of Substance Social

This is Keana's Candy Land on Milwaukee where we had our first NW Steampunk Woman of Substance Social.  The food was awesome and plentiful.  I was the only one who had been there before so the rest of the ladies had a lot of decor to check out.  Murals to be used for backdrops for our pictures were plentiful.  It was a great afternoon.  In attendance  were Lady M, Theresa, Jory, and me.

Lady M made her outfit.  Wow, awesome job, Lady M.

My outfit consist of two Love Flow Creations pieces.  the first is a Grecian style top Made from a silky camisole, some gauzy fabric with gold pin stripes, a lacy shawl, and some more lace, which is being worn over my my white petticoat.  Over the top and skirt is another Love Flow Creation, a bustle made from an hundred year old valance and curtains .  To top it all off is my burgundy velvet jacket and a straw hat with flowers.

The shrew on the trail

Hubby and I were walking on the Fanno Creek Trail when we came across this little guy, a shrew. Who knew they were so small?? I didn't. They are about the size of a mouse.

OK, I am so far behind on blogging I have no idea what day this was or what I did, but I did remember to take pictures.

The jacket is a thrifted "Chico" score. I love it when I find spendy brands at thrift stores.

Pink t-shirt thrifted. Earrings on sale for $3 at Guacamole in Jaco in Costa Rica. The coolest store I found in Costa Rica.

Victorian pin was at the St. John's Flea Market. The "Coexist" pin new from somewhere? Goddess necklace was from a craft fair.

The skirt is one of my Love Flow Creations made from a moo moo. And if you look closely you can see my Victoria's Secret thermal jammie bottoms. Boots were thrifted.

Till next time...

Prairie Fairy skirt takes the stage

Here is the prairie fairy skirt I created that was on etsy, and here is the new owner wearing it on stage during a play. So cool.

To recreate:  Find yourself a "prairie" skirt, you know, white ruffles and eyelet lace.  Then find yourself and old white sheer curtain at your local Goodwill Outlet.  Cut it into a bunch of squares.  Then attach the squares to the waistband by one of the points.  Tada!!!

Life Happens, you know?

Wow, I haven't posted in a week! I'm such a bad girl :-) Life has been stressful and busy. I have been applying to most every craft fair I can find. It will be interesting to see where I end up. Now for some pictures.

Here are the Glam Girls, aren't they fabulous!!
You can find them at www.etsy.com/shop/glamgirlspearls. Sweet, sweet peps.

By the way, in case you were wondering these are pictures from Crafty Underdog at the Mission Theater on April 1st.

And that is Maria Dodson of M. Designs. You can find her at www.etsy.com/people/MDesignsPdx. Marie and I made a trade of 3 or her beautiful rings for one of my blouses. I just love my rings. Thanks Maria!!! She is another sweet, sweet person.

Yes, I know my pictures show up in backwards order. Here are some pictures from the Business Fair at Unity of Portland.

I had big fun at both events that day. Thanks mom for holding down the fort at Crafty Underdog while I went to the business fair. Till later...
