Music at the park

There are all these woman starting up awesome upcycling blogs lately.  I started one awhile ago.  I tried to post every day, but then when no one is reading it you get discourage and figure why put all that time and effort into it.  But, here I go giving it another shot.  Let's see if I can post everyday for a week.  Then I will go from there.

Today I spent a busy day with the "Housewives Club" eating and shopping and talking and talking and talking.  What we do best.  I went to a live concert in the park here in Beaverton Oregon.  Had a great time and was productive at the same time lacing up afgan skirts.

Here's a peek at the concert and the skirts.....

Me and my crazy smile LOL, some blurry dancers, blurry me, and an awesome shot of me that a professional photographer took, that just so happened to be sitting behind us.

Please not that the "cape" I am wearing is one of the afghans I threaded cording through.  And the dress is the big poncho looking thing made from recycled tee shirts.  The colors go together fabulously.  The necklace I purchased at Muzis on Main in Tigard, Oregon.

The poncho later sold to my biggest fan on Etsy.  Thanks Fern!!!!

Till tomorrow..............

A little bit of everything

One of these nights
One of these lost and lonely nights
You're gonna find out pretty momma
Who turns on your light.....

Yet another night of hardly sleeping.  I might of got 2 hours in maybe.  That makes 9 hour of total sleep for the last 4 days. Ugh!  The joys of being manic. :-)

You gotta love the manic side of my personality.  Love it or hate it, it's none of my business how you feel about me. :-)

So here is some new stuff....

I know, there's a whole lot going on here.  We have t-shirt skirts, country blue floral skirt with vintage lace on the lower half.  Then there's the Little Miss Sunshine dress, that is just to cute for words.  Not to mention the tie-dyed dress with monkeys.  I made all of these in 1 day.  Yep, I sew big bunches.

I have a great big craft fair today and tomorrow.  Mom will be here in a few hours to help me, as she always does.  The show runs from 10-8 both days.  Lots of work, but totally worth it.

Everything on this post except the 1st skirt have been sold.  The craft fair I was speaking of was Cracked Pots and we did exceptionally well!

Till next time......

The wedding that never was

Hey all,

I took a trip over to the Assistance League here in Beaverton and scored on lots of great clothes to refashion for my son's wedding.  Here are the jacket and two coordinating skirts.  I also finished the skirt that goes with the jacket. I just haven't got a pic yet, but it is gorgeous.

Update:  Sadly, my sons wedding never took place.  They ended up breaking up. :-(

Bad girl, bad, bad, girl

I've been a bad, bad, girl.  I haven't been posting my blogs.  Shame on me.

So, what's new?

The good, the bad, and the ugly craft sales.

Kicked selling booty today at Art Court in Beaverton, yea!!!

And now to some pics....

This skirt and vest that were made to go together sold today at the Art Court to 2 different woman at the same time.  Very interesting. :-)

This skirt is having wedding dress fantasies.  But she pulls off all the lacy details.

That's my input for today.  Look for the sunny side of life. :-)

Road trip

I went on a road trip the other day.  Here are some pictures from the St. Paul Ponds.
I am wearing a Love Flow Creations skirt made from a moo moo along with thrifted top, vest, hat and boots.  The ponds have a nice walking path that we took advantage of.  Till next time...

What to do with men's dress shirts

Yes, I know, I haven't posted in quite awhile. You know how life gets.  You're living it and forgetting to take pictures of it, or write about it.

Last Sat. when my mum was here we wandered over to "the bins" where I scored myself a whole bunch of men's shirts.  So here's some pictures of what I've been doing with them.

What to do with a sunny day in Portland

That is one of our little neighbors reading the bumper-stickers on "Stella's" back side.  Yes, I named my car Stella.

Update:  On a sad note, when my ex split he took Stella with him to Florida.  The day after Thanksgiving he totaled  Stella.  Rest in peace Stella.  I love you car of mine. :-(

On this particular sunny day awhile back I took the opportunity to enjoy the day by going for a walk in my neighborhood up to Roxy's my favorite restaurant in Beaverton.  The best food by far, the friendly staff and the loudest Hawaiian music. LOL
Update:  Roxy's is now a favorite place for my guy Lonnie. :-)

I love the "Under Construction" display someone was cute enough to share with us in their front yard.  Isn't the guy on the tractor great?

As for what I'm wearing, the green sweater is one of my Love Flow Creations embellished with lace and tattered edges.  The dress is also a Love Flow Creation made from a black cami with white stars, lace added to the front bodice and as a skirt.  It reminds me of a French maids outfit.  In a good way.  I have worn it over a black v-front and v-back dress.

What an awesome day!!!

I am looking at these pictures with absolutely no idea where hubby and I were dancing and when.  However, please note the orb floating between us in the first picture.  Then in the second picture the orb is floating over both of us.  Well folks this is hubby and I dancing somewhere at sometime.

NW Steampunk Woman of Substance Social

This is Keana's Candy Land on Milwaukee where we had our first NW Steampunk Woman of Substance Social.  The food was awesome and plentiful.  I was the only one who had been there before so the rest of the ladies had a lot of decor to check out.  Murals to be used for backdrops for our pictures were plentiful.  It was a great afternoon.  In attendance  were Lady M, Theresa, Jory, and me.

Lady M made her outfit.  Wow, awesome job, Lady M.

My outfit consist of two Love Flow Creations pieces.  the first is a Grecian style top Made from a silky camisole, some gauzy fabric with gold pin stripes, a lacy shawl, and some more lace, which is being worn over my my white petticoat.  Over the top and skirt is another Love Flow Creation, a bustle made from an hundred year old valance and curtains .  To top it all off is my burgundy velvet jacket and a straw hat with flowers.
